LPG use varies greatly for both domestic and commercial purposes. At Charlton Whitehouse Fuels Ltd we stock and supply propane and butane gas in a range of sizes for both domestic and trade customers.

What is LPG?

LPG or liquefied petroleum gas, a term commonly used to refer to Propane or Butane is a flammable mixture of hydrocarbon gases used as fuel in heating appliances, cooking equipment and vehicles. The gas is stored in pressurised gas bottles in its liquid form. It is the immense pressure withiun the bottle that turns propane and butane into a liquid which would exist as a gas at room temperature. LPG is created by refining crude oil.

Our LPG bottles serve a wide range of common applications some of which include portable room heaters, portable stoves, caravan refrigeration and cookers, barbecues, patio heaters, industrial blow torches and forklift trucks. We also stock LPG peripherals including regulators, hose pipe and jubilee clips.

Purchasing Options

    LPG Badge
Any number of our LPG bottles can be collected from our yard.

We require an empty Budget Gas or Calor Gas bottle in exchange for the purchase of a new one otherwise a small refundable deposit may be needed. The reason we take deposits is because our supplier requires the return of their own branded gas bottles when they collect them from us. Bottle deposits ensure that our bottles are returned to us and then we return them to the correct gas supplier or manufacturer.
